Can I just say that I am SO excited about starting up this virtual book club with you all today?
And I might have compiled a very *small* list of suggested titles.
From DIY to Garden to floral to home inspirations and more.
I finally had to stop adding to this post because it was getting soooooo long- but stay tuned for a couple exciting book suggestions in a couple of weeks.
I will keep it short and sweet today -so you can peruse the titles and see if any are of interest to you-
but remember that even though some of the titles are not readily available to be shipped currently with other things being prioritized in shipping-
you can always download a kindle version or check other book sellers-
like Target, B&N and local small bookstores who ship and support them.
You will probably recognize a lot of bloggers and friends on this list and also some favorite reads that have been on repeat for recommended reading for several years- those favorite books never get old. And …. (shameless plug)
if you don’t have a copy of my book yet– now is a perfect time to add it to your library. You can find French Country Cottage quick ship here.
AND adding in my just announced New Book- French Country Cottage Inspired Gatherings as well.
Let’s get to that tiny list of suggested reading for this week
(some affiliate links here)

Okay- THIS one might be my OTHER favorite of theirs..lol
This is one of my favorites of Rachel’s books.
Because- Carolyne Always inspires me with such beautiful elegant style.
I love Farah and am so proud of her- this book is the latest in her long line of achievements.
Nora and my book came out at the same time- I am absolutely in love with her Country style.
Holly’s book is full of interesting textures, vignettes and ideas for a modern farm style.
Absolutely welcoming and inspirational.

Beyond. Beyond. Beyond. Can’t say more than that- it is beautiful.
And same. 🙂
This book is such a pretty one from Rachel- all about how she loves to incorporate florals and has enjoyed them in her designs over the years.
I love Georgianna and her beautiful photography- what is not to love about this book and the next?
ENTERTAINING AT HOME
Even though we are not ‘Gathering’ in large groups currently- we can still gather with those in our household and make it feel like a special occasion. These are some sweet books- and all by some of my blog friends who you probably recognize.
Entertaining through the seasons
Creative & Coloring books
For some fun ideas of what to do while at home- coloring books, crafts and even Christmas planning (we are just 8 months away folks!) And this book about Crafts for girls? This is by the sweet twin daughters of KariAnne of Thistlewood Farms. I am sending this one off to my twin nieces to enjoy while they are at home. And Design Smarts is by a sweet friend of mine – Mitzi – who blogs about inspirational and livable designs for boomers- & side note- my book is featured on the cover of her book 🙂
Design Smarts- Inspiration for Home & Life in Boomer Years
22 ways to bring your walls to life
Recipes
The Half Baked Harvest books are insanely fabulous and of course Mimi – always perfect ideas and inspiration. All easy to customize for your dietary needs as well.
PUZZLES
It is definitely feeling like puzzle season- grab some fun puzzles, or word type puzzle books while at home.
Phew. That is quite the reading list, no?
I think we could maybe sit down and tackle these and wrap them alllll up in what another week or so? 🙂
I hope this gives you some ideas on books you can add to your collection while at home-
Maybe we should choose one we can all read and then discuss on fb? I will suggest a few in a couple of weeks.
Happy reading all
Stay well.

What a great list! I own a number of these books (yes, of course, including your book, Courtney) and have checked out a number of the others from the library. They inspire me to see things I already own in a different way and make me see the beauty in items that many people would have tossed away as less than perfect. I look forward to searching out some of these when my library opens again(what a happy day that will be!) Thank you for sharing.
