Welcome to the weekend view.
This weekend is a this and that for sure. My husband is doing a bit of roof work while I have been indoors working on a few changes and finishing up in the little cottage- And we also celebrated a birthday & an engagement this week.
Happy Birthday & Engagement
It was a big week for my daughter last week! My baby-baby Ansley celebrated her birthday and got engaged to her sweetheart!
They face-timed us from the top of a mountain in Lake Tahoe to share the news. It wasn’t a total surprise to us- because Harley had asked for our blessing a couple of months ago but we didn’t expect it to happen for awhile yet. Excited to start planning all things pretty and wedding with them (they won’t be getting married for at least a year or so until everything is safe for weddings)
Projects Galore
Seems there are lots of projects swirling around right now. From painting to roofing to decorating and lighting. I am starting to see the light at the end of the little cottage update tunnel- and am excited to share more with you all.
Outdoor Living
Ahh… the great outdoors. We are enjoying our homes and yards more than ever this year with staying home so much. Something we have been enjoying is this patio area that has the most comfy chairs and twinkling tree ambiance. It is a bit hot for the fire currently- this is an outtake in my new book- Inspired Gatherings – available here. And you will be seeing more about this setting on the blog this week. 🙂
Traveling the world… in my mind
My suitcase stared at me yesterday and wondered why it hasn’t been on any adventures recently. I told it we will plan some big ones when things are safe again- and in the meantime- I loved this meme I saw that a friend shared on FB. (not my post)

Happy weekend all.

Hi! Lovely pics…what type of stone or pea gravel did you use in your area with the lights and chairs? Thank you!
Courtney says
It is just a pea gravel we found at a local quarry -not sure what the name would be.
