Taking a break from Merry & Bright and it is all about easy Thanksgiving centerpiece ideas for the table today. Because if you are like me, you are thinking about decorating the table and getting ready for family and friends who may join you right now.
On the table- Thanksgiving Centerpiece Ideas
This year we are planning an ‘inspired gathering’ outdoor Thanksgiving celebration with family. I am planning to set the table out under the oak tree that is by the old fireplace. We have string lights there all year long and the table stays there as well.
Mingle The Seasons- Christmas and Thanksgiving
One of the things I love most about Thanksgiving is the mingle of the seasons. Growing up- we always enjoyed a Christmas tree twinkling away on Thanksgiving. So tip number one- mingle the seasons.
Tip: Mingle the seasons with Thanksgiving on the table and a twinkling tree in the background.
For a more traditional look on the table for Thanksgiving- choose a pumpkin filled centerpiece or garland.
A Bronzed Turkey Thanksgiving Centerpiece
We love this bronzed turkey as a centerpiece- and he is the only turkey on our table since we are vegetarians.
I love to place a larger piece like this at the end of the table to add all that charm without filling up the center and disrupting conversation.
Thanksgiving Table dried Garden Goodness
A mix and mingle of foraged dried flowers and greens can create a charming and more rustic centerpiece. Look for branches with leaves and dried flowers.
Simple & Sweet Thanksgiving Table
Grapes and other season produce and a clay or natural pumpkin is perfect. I love this on a mantel as well.
Beautiful blooming flowers are always perfect for the table. For a smaller table create a large arrangement- for a longer table- create several and repeat down the center.
This is from my book Inspired Gatherings- a favorite elegant look for the holidays.
Faux or Fresh Garland
I am more than a little obsessed with garland as a centerpiece. This is a faux pumpkin garland that is full of seasonal charm. I love it with our blush linen tablecloth and simply on the table.
Tip: Use a wreath in the background to echo the colors and style of the centerpiece.
However you choose to set your table for Thanksgiving- remember that the most important thing that guests will remember is the time they spend with you and family. The holiday is about family and gathering together is about creating memories, laughing, and celebrating friends and family.
