Berry topped cakes, banners and weddings and more. Welcome to the weekend view.
These two crazy kids ran off to Hawaii and got married on the beach last week. This is a quick screenshot snap just after they got married when they face-timed us. We are planning a reception for friends and family to celebrate with them next month – will share more about that as we work on it.
We sent a little something to their room in Hawaii to celebrate- but we also wanted to do something for them for when they got home – which was last night. We have been dog sitting their dogs and brought them back home yesterday and my daughter in law Katt and I decided to add a few fun touches to their apartment while we were there.
They live in an apartment complex currently so we didn’t have much room to work with when decorating their car- but we had to do it. haha. Just a fun banner and and inexpensive garland on the car to ‘welcome’ the newlyweds back home was perfect.
And we put up a little Mr. & Mrs. sign inside along with some champagne and nibbles and this beautiful cake that Katt made from scratch. I told her she is HIRED!!!
These two pups have been in the house enjoying all the extra treats and walks while their parents were in Hawaii.
Beauty and a bow
This little cutie has 4 teeth and enough hair for a little bow now. She is already 9 months old and keeping her parents busy busy.
Here is what inspired me this week:
LOVE this sweets charcuterie party from KariAnne at Thistlewood Farm.
These Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars look AMAZING!!
And this DIY bread basket looks perfect for spring entertaining.
A bit quiet here on the blog and my social media recently. Continuing to post things like flowers or projects doesn’t necessarily feel right-but I also know that sharing something beautiful helps to remind that there is still beauty out in the world. So while I can’t wave a wand and fix the darkness in the world- hopefully sharing something pretty brings a moment of peace and a reminder of the good and beauty that is out there.
Have a beautiful Sunday all.
