It’s been a crazy busy couple of days
but this morning,
I was so excited to take a bit of time to go meet my friend Sandy
for a cup of coffee and some long overdue chatter.
We caught up, we laughed, we ate
and when we were all tanked up on coffee,
we headed to the thrift store
for some shopping!
While we shopped,
we bumped into quite a few silver finds… for some reason they were just catching my eye too.
These lovely silver goblets or cups were one of them-
there were a set of 8 of them sitting in a basket under a shelf.
Sandy had a fantastic idea to put one of the cups in the bathroom with q-tips in it
then we thought make-up brushes, soaps, etc..
Since I didn’t have any idea what I would blog about tonight for the party
with Sandy’s suggestion,
came the inspiration for this quick little vignette!
A white towel rolled up sits in the silver champagne bucket,
ready for use.
&
a washcloth & bar of soap in the other goblets.
Together on a sweet tray- with a couple little candles for relaxation.
The little clamshell is just perfect for holding jewelry-
and what more fitting than pink pearls!
Thanks Sandy!
🙂

I love silver, but I don't really use it in my home. Lots of brass accents in the house left over from the 90s. To me, the silver clashes with that too much. Therefore, I enjoy looking at everyone else's pretties. Your vintage is so elegant and I bet it really dresses up your bathroom! Thanks for hosting the party.

Hi Courtney! What a perfect day to have! I love silver used all over the place. All together on a powder room tray is lovely!

Courtney- I love your silver "setting". It is wonderful. Do you have any idea what the clamshell was used for orignally? I have one too tnat belonged to my hub's grandmother. Someone told me it was used to hold cigarette ashes as they were taken off the table during bridge games, etc…and the cover closed so the ashes didn't blow about.
Your featured blog makeovers are wonderful! Hugs- Diana

The silver in the bath is really pretty. You should have the trays in the towel rack too! I remember my parents having a clamshell like that. It had a glass liner that you put cocktail sauce in for shrimp cocktail. Yours looks prettier filled with pearls.
