Sometimes you just want to sprinkle some of that Christmas magic around the house in a hurry. Instead of an hour for perfect tree decor or making messes while decorating your mantel- you just want to create that Christmas magic and ambiance in 5 minutes.
And so today it is all about just.that. Simple, easy and beautiful ways to add a touch of Christmas anywhere and everywhere – in just a few minutes.
Wee Tree in a Basket
This little twinkling tree in a basket is the ultimate quick and easy tree. It literally arrives in the basket. Such a sweet charming European style- I love it on the sideboard with a few lights and nothing else- or a few mini ornaments. But I also used this in a different way somewhere else.
Tree in a Wood Bucket
Place that tree right into a wood bucket or crate for a more rustic look.
This is the smaller tree set inside of a vintage wood cheese mold- so cute.
Bucket full of ornaments
This is such a simple way to add a touch of Christmas charm. I filled a couple of wood bowls with ornaments and placed them on the sideboard, under the Christmas tree in the hallway, and on the kitchen island.
Dough Bowl Centerpiece
Along the same lines as that small bowl of ornaments- sometimes you want to go BIG. This antique dough bowl is a chunky one- and when it is filled with beautiful shades of golds and warm mercury glass- it creates a rustic elegant look on the table, the coffee table or anywhere you place it.
A stack of presents
So simple- and so charming. A stack of a pretty themed presents on a chair, piled under the tree or even just placed on a bench is such an easy way to create a charming vignette in a snap. Stay tuned for one of my favorite wrapping looks this season.
Add twinkle lights
Anywhere and everywhere. I am a big fan of twinkle light magic and the ambiance they create. Favorite places to use them are in the firebox, along the garland on the mantel currently. Use battery operated where you don’t have access to a plug. See more of this tree HERE
Fresh Evergreen Clippings
For a simple festive touch- just a branch or bundle of fresh cedar, pine or evergreen clippings is perfect.
Crate Full of Ornaments
Similar to a bowl full- I love to use old wood crates for oodles of vintage and new ornaments. Whether tucked under the tree or just by themselves somewhere- they are a perfect touch of Christmas charm.
Create a grouping of small trees
Whether two or three or more- a grouping of small trees is perfect for a sideboard or even around a larger tree.
Use a Battery Operated Garland for a centerpiece
I love how magical this feels – and if you saw my post the other day- you know I am a big fan of using garland on the table. This garland is full of extra sparkle with that beautiful champagne color- and is battery operated – so no worries about where to plug it in and folks tripping over it. It is also so easy to plop on the table and call it beautiful in just a few minutes. You can see more of this table styling idea on the Balsam Hill Blog
Coming your way- more Christmas and the next tree in our 12 trees of Christmas series.
Happy Monday all.

Are your wee trees real or artificial? Where do you buy them if they are artificial? If they’re real, do you just CHOp the tops off trees?
Thanks
