and inspired by nature?
Yes, please.
thought no one was watching.
I mean, come on, perfect child over here 😉
Okay, ‘perfect’ is pretty far from the truth if it was to be told.
But one thing I always knew when I was figuring out just who I was,
and rebelling against the world –
was that I had someone who loved me
even when I was pretty unlovable.
I’ll delve into that a little more in a little more of a mushy post,
but for today,
I am jumping right into what thinking about doing on Mothers Day inspired-
a very simple and elegant brunch table setting.
This table was also somewhat inspired by that gorgeous green that is all around right now
and uses clippings right from our yard for the centerpiece.
#1. Keep it simple
It doesn’t have to be complicated. Keep it simple.
Start with something easy to put together for your centerpiece.
Fresh tree foliage and tree blooms simply laid down the center of the table
bring a simple but charming burst of energy.
I have a little bit of a love affair with green garlands down the center of a table
and so chose to clip a few branches off a tree in the backyard to lay a base for a centerpiece.
No tying together or anything complicated-simply lay them down the center-
in whatever length you need.
Next up- a few clippings of Snowball Viburnum- which is also a tree- bring those big beautiful snowy flower balls.
The clippings of dark purple berries are from a ligustrum and were just tucked in here and there.
I love it when I can walk out into the yard and find something to put in a vase
or down the center of a table.
