Tis autumn and all things moody are in full swing. But can I let you in on a secret? Twinkle magic might also be happening in the house this week. And so- the mingle of twinkle and moody season begins. Today though we are talking autumn and a simple halloween barn.
I have been keeping autumn and halloween decor simple this year- and one of my favorite places to decorate is the barn. A halloween barn is always a fun little spot for costume photos and more. The best part is that the 3 things I used for the barn to add that moody spooky look are also easy to do on a porch or anywhere else you would like a simple easy look in a few minutes.
Halloween Barn – Glitter Witches Hats
These are so fun- and I love that they light up and add a whole new level of halloween fun. We hung these hats from tree branches on both sides of the door.

Halloween Barn- Glowing Glass Pumpkins
Perfect for a table but also on porch steps and on the mantel or anywhere you would like to add a little pumpkin glow.

Halloween Barn- Glitter trees

Black glitter trees framed the door last year- but an alternative look is to use big tree branches. I gathered up some large fallen tree branches and wired a couple together to create a larger ‘tree’ made up of branches.

A couple more ideas for the road
Oil Lanterns: I snagged a couple of vintage oil lanterns at the thrift store for a special photography project. This one was perfect for adding some flickering flame ambiance inside the barn.

Crows: We have these big plastic flocked crows around the chicken coop to help keep predators away. They are also perfect for incorporating into spooky designs like the Halloween barn.
