Yes, it’s true…
I have a little bit of a thing for stripes & florals.
They speak perfect French cottage charm… especially with a little bit of soft blue and those dainty flowers.
So really, how can I not fall madly in love with something like this?
I have been searching, and searching, and searching
for the perfect drapes for the guest room.
Something that is French vintage inspired.
Something that is charming and with just the perfect touch of sweetness.
With the right colors, the right pattern and scale and the right details.
I have found that when you have something in mind…and you are a little picky like moi
it makes it hard to find that something perfect that is already made to order.
So when I saw this fabric online at Online Fabric Store...
and I saw those stripes, those flowers, those colors… I had an inkling that it was perfect.
For upholstery. For pillows
and yes, for those sought after drapery panels that had the charm I was looking for.
It’s called Brodie Chambray from Covington
When it arrived- I was completely in love.
It reminded me so much of vintage French ticking stripe brocade
that you would find on antiques and in gorgeous French homes.
I cut, trimmed and sewed away and a couple hours later~
I had these completely gorgeous panels.
They are fully lined and trimmed in sweet pretty tassels
and are absolutely perfect for the cottage guest bedroom.
Did I already mention that I am in.love. with this fabric?
😉
Well, I am seriously in love with it.
The guest cottage bedroom has a new look… with fresh paint
fresh vintage furniture
and now these gorgeous draperies
I’ll be sharing more about the somewhat different way that I made these drapes
