I love crisp white linens with soft sweet ruffles….
Love. Love. Love.
Love. Love. Love.
Layer upon layer of gauzy beautiful ruffles cascading over the edge of a table
falling softly onto a chair or to the floor…
So romantic and charming.
Several of you asked about the drapery panel that I shared in the bathroom makeover
since I am knee deep in several projects right now and not getting as much blogging done
I thought I would share a bit more about it.
When I was looking for the drapery for the window in the little cottage bathroom
I knew I didn’t want something heavy and formal that would change the feeling of the room.
But I wasn’t sure just what I would use until after setting the sideboard sink in place
and bringing in the bouquet of Stock.
The romantic pinks and shabby gray and whites mingled and I knew what would be
a perfect compliment.
one of the things that I sewed recently was a crisp cotton tablecloth
with a delightful edging
with a delightful edging
Vintage inspired.
Perfectly shabby sweet and edged all around in a double ruffle.
I draped the tablecloth over the curtain rod in the bathroom
So I designed a panel for the bathroom and took my ruffled
tablecloth back to be used on the dining room table
I love the white mixed with the vintage pewter plates & silver flatware
and the pale pinks & purples in the blooms
This dainty hydrangea must have been forgotten at the grocery store-
it was dry & wilted and it was debatable if the blooms would perk up…
but for the marked down price – I thought just a little soaking with cold water might work
and it’s back to looking happy and fresh.
and it’s back to looking happy and fresh.
burlap tablecloths and ruffled linens that I make and share on my blog.
Thank you so much for your interest in them. So far, I haven’t offered them for sale yet
but do have a few things spinning around in that category so stay tuned.
We woke up to rain here yesterday and there is rain in the forecast almost every day this week.
It’s a good excuse to stay warm and cozy next to the fire and delve into a few design books
and maybe play a little catch up with blog visits.
I have a fun Spring project coming up ~ a little something to do with our Feathered friends.
🙂
🙂
Hope your week gets off to a great start!

Well Courtney, I think you would sell the heck out of your slipcovers and tablecloths if you offered them for sale. This is a sweet post to start my week. I love the pinks, grays, and whites. Love the curtain in the bath, too.
Have a great week, Sweetie!

Hi Courtney!
Can you tell us about your brown charger plates? I saw some like these a few years ago and loved them, but didn't purchase them. Are the plates on your table still available where you purchased them? They are a great accent for MANY things! I seem to find the time to "fluff", decorate, arrange, etc., for other people but I don't take the time to actually do it for my own home. This is inspiring me to make and follow through with plans for my guest room and living room!
Thanks for the inspiration!
