A simple and sweet cozy autumn table in the garden.
Cozy Autumn Table
My daughter and I decided to play in the potting shed garden the other day and set a cozy table inspired by all things autumn. We wanted to keep it simple and sweet- but full of autumn ambiance.
Tip: Use a sheet, blanket or wool throw as an impromptu table cloth.
This wool throw was the perfect shade and color of cozy autumn that we were looking for- and so, it became a simple table cloth for the moment.
Gathered Place Settings
Tip: Use what you have and mix and mingle your place settings. They don’t all have to be matchy matchy and perfect.
Vintage plates and collected silver flatware and goblets for a perfect mix and mingle on the table. I also used a thrifted crochet hankie as a napkin.
Dried Flowers
You might remember these from my recent post sharing a simple autumn moment. We added a few dried flowers to the arrangement and brought them outside for the table.
Tip: Dried flowers are perfect for autumn settings- indoors and outdoors. You can simply let flowers like roses dry right in the vase and they will slowly dry beautifully.
Pumpkins and twinkle lights on repeat
Of course, the backdrop plays a part in any setting and this one is all about autumn ambiance with twinkle lights and pumpkins on repeat.
Tip: Bring on the string lights, fairy light lanterns and lots of pumpkins for a lovely backdrop for your table.
