Over the Summer,
I found an abundance of beautiful roses at fantastic prices at our grocery store.
One of the things I love about roses is that they dry so beautifully- so when I bring a bouquet home
I know that I will be able to enjoy them much longer than just when they are blooming.
So all those pretty roses from Summer have given me lots of dried roses
to decorate with and enjoy all year long and have also inspired a few soft romantic
This is one of those random rambly type posts that happen when your head is stuffed up and you are trying to edit photos and finish your blog post while sniffling and sneezing.
Yes, my sweet daughters bug has been making the rounds through the house a bit
so just few photos and short post today about thrift store finds.

Remember when I found those dainty vintage Florentine tables at the thrift store?
Well, it was half price day at the thrifts which means it’s a great day to shop
or a not so great day to shop depending on how you look at it.
It was a good day to shop for me though-
because even finding several things- they were all very inexpensive.

Loving these 3 vintage lace drape panels.
They are simply gorgeous and such a soft shade of pale pink.
Honestly, when I picked them up to look at them, I had no idea where exactly I would use them.
I am not necessarily a lace curtain type girl… but I have learned over the years, that if I am inspired by something~ that I will find a place for it.
They are extra long~ nearly 100 inches each, heavily weighted and for just $2.00 each~
very reasonable
I also found a vintage tulle petticoat tucked in among the ghoulish costumes in the Halloween section.
It’s not perfect and is worn in some areas but I love it.
I have been keeping my eye open for simple photo styling elements and petticoats are perfect.
Here it is used as the backdrop for vintage ornaments for a post the other day.
If you have been reading my blog for any length of time~ you will probably recognize this mannequin.
It was a couple dollar thrift find from several years ago and was wearing a bathing suit as a display when I found it- I guess to hide the wear to the fabric covering.
It’s a fantastic photo prop and perfect for Halloween decor as well
as most people find it a little creepy.

A couple of tiny antique flower frogs are inexpensive and fun.
This one holds a couple dried roses & wax flowers but you can use them for so many things.
I will share a few of my favorite ways to use them and display them soon.
In between working on a few side projects on the computer
I am hoping to start working on pulling out a few of the Christmas decorations.
Sending the man up to the shed this afternoon to grab a few things.
I know I am early~ but I like to be all decked out for Christmas by Thanksgiving.

See you tomorrow for Feathered Nest Friday!
everything is so beautiful. your photos never disappoint!
Oh you are so right. It's best to buy it when you see it. Especially when it's only a few dollars. That way, you don't have to figure out how to kick yourself later! Everything is utterly charming. Beautiful as always. I just love getting lost for a few moments in your photos Courtney. Hope you're feeling 100% real quick!!
Your pics are always so dreaming, love them!
And compliments for your finds, so delicious <3
Love your pictures : so so romantic. On my mannequin there is the costume I'm making for the VENICE carnival in february : pink lace and glitter.

LOVE!!!!!!!!!!
I especially like to dry yellow roses. They fade very little and they seem to last longer than red roses for some reason. Your pics are lovely.
So lovely, soft and romantic! It is always a treat to come visit to see your new treasures!

Hi Courtney!!
I'm right with you on getting a cold. I was the last one of 4 to get it from a trip to Montreal in September.
As you know, I love pink roses. Anything pink is great by me and your new drapes for $2 were a steal!! That's why I call it treasure hunting when I'm thrift shopping. You just don't know what your going to get at a great price. Your pictures are always so beautiful and elegant.
Take care:}

Your dried roses are so beautiful! I love how you used them in conjunction with the silver holiday ornaments–very delicate and pretty. And that lovely table trio–how wonderful to have found then on half-price day! That is the only day I shop at one of my favorite thrift stores, and it seems like I almost always find something fun 🙂
It's all so lovely – as always! I would love to find some vintage chrismas ornaments in all whites and silvers – I have vintage in other colors but not many in silver and white.
Très belles photos pleine de douceur…
