Weekend View
Welcome to the weekend view. This week has been all about autumn- And Christmas with my new book officially being released.
Rainy Day Cozy
It has been an amazing couple of days here in California with very unusual weather for us this time of year. We have been enjoying rain and cool temperatures and it has been amazing. We don’t usually get any kind of winter type weather in September so this is such a treat and perfect for getting into the cozy autumn mood. I have had candles burning and an ambiance fire in the fireplace- along with my cozy blanket snuggly on and windows & the French doors open for that incredible fresh air.
Junking
We have officially decided that we have a thrifting problem. This week has been 1/2 priced week at the thrifts and so- you know we shopped. And then we came home and saw that a neighbor was having a yard sale- and shopped that too. Here is a snap of some of the treasures we brought home- the vintage bottles always talk to me when they have a perfect old faded color and that lady figurine- well, I walked away twice and then came back. She is not something I usually have in the house but there was something about her and I know she will be beautiful in a vignette. I will share a closer look at her along with my favorite find that was just $10.
A handsome friend
I was working out on our property by the Avion trailer last week- and this handsome fella was watching me for a bit. He has a spot where he sleeps by that big downed tree. That tree fell during the storms and pulled up a whole lot of the roots and everything with it- so there is a large hole in that area where he likes to nestle in and nap.
You can see the tops of his antlers and his beautiful face above as he was getting settled in and keeping an eye on me.
Christmas Book & a Favor
It was such a wonderful book release week! Full of excitement and fun and some anxiety for sure. Not knowing if it will be well received or mostly critiqued- it can be a bit of a flip floppy kind of launch. Courtney-I ordered your Christmas book and love love love it. I posted a rview on amazon but i live in canada and they wouldn’t deliver the bookplate to me. We end up paying a great deal more here for books and I can’t understand why we aren’t allowed some benefits. I am so disappointed
Hi Cheryl – Thank you for ordering! With the bookplate- did you try to order the bookplate in my shop and it wouldn’t let you because you are in Canada? I have shipped books and linens to Canada – the bookplate is in a regular envelope so I would think it would ship okay to you.

Hello Courtney, I opened my first furniture and lighting boutique in December of 22. It’s called cottage inspired “French Country Farmhouse Living” In October, we will open a second store – Coastal inspired “Beach Cottage Living”. Your books have inspired me and given me many ideas that i have incorporated in our decor. We patterned our restroom after one of yours. Would your books be available for wholesale so I could sell them in Cottage Inspired? I have two of your books on my coffee table as they make great talk pieces. I think my customers would love them.
