Welcome to the weekend view. This week is all about September inspiration, getting ready for the holidays and an exclusive discount on signed copies of my new Christmas book.

Hiking the trails

We have been doing a bit of hiking recently. From trails up in Tahoe when we were there a few days to local trails in our area. We recently discovered a new trail that is about 5 miles long and have been hiking it several times the past couple of days. All the wild grapevines growing on the trees is absolutely beautiful and reminds me of the movie Ferngully.

Family time

Last week was a busy family filled week. We babysat Juliette and Jionni most of the day on Monday which also ameant spending time at the park & taking them on walks to burn some energy off. I am pretty sure it also burned some of our energy off haha. And we also hosted family day & dinner on Wednesday. We usually go to the kids house for family day- but they wanted to change it up and come here for a bit so the kids could see the goats and chickens and run around on the property. We did the usual grandparents thing of course and went to Target and bought a whole cart full of stuff for the kids to play with and do while they are here- like pools and sand boxes, bubble machines and all kinds of random things. Of course, the boys favorite was sitting in the pool and eating blackberries.

And Juliette was fascinated with the pile of pumpkins by the potting shed and had a great time stacking them up like blocks.

We have another fun filled & busy week ahead with babysitting Enzo, grand dog watching and some travel for photography work on the calendar.

Fresh Farmers Market blooms

We changed up our farmers market stop last week and drove to another town to shop their market and see if they had anything different. We found some pretty dahlias and mixed bouquets that made a lovely basket full and were perfect inspiration for a few stylings last week.

A few notes and updates about my new Christmas book this week!
