Welcome to the weekend view.
Lake Day
We gathered with our big kids and grand babies at the lake last week. We decided to get together a bit early for the 4th of July and avoid the traffic and busy on the roads- so a mid week family day was perfect. The kids enjoyed playing in the water and cooling off a bit from the near triple digit heat.

Wine Tasting & Market Fun
We love to venture into small town markets- there is just something about a fun street faire. One of our local small towns hosts a weekday evening event where you can grab farmers market produce and handmade goods. We popped into a local winery and did a little wine tasting and people watching. We have been enjoying only European wines as our go -to wine since doing low carb since they are no sugar to so much lower in sugar and without the additives. Thankfully, this local winery makes wine the European way without all the souped up stuff added in so we can enjoy a bit while shopping.

Pretty Little Sweet Peas
The prettiest little sweet pea in the garden caught my attention. Most of our wild sweet peas are purple or white- this one was a mingle of pink and white and was such a sweet one, I had to grab a photo of it.

Thrifting Treasures
I might have brought home a few things last week- like antique quilts, silver flatware and more. I will share a new Love it or Leave it post this week with some of the finds. This bin of vintage flatware was talking to me while shopping. I have a hard time resisting old flatware. We use it as our everyday utensils and I am always bringing it home.

Garden Goodies
We have a whole lot of tomatoes going looney toons in the garden currently. I was out there shooting a few photos for a garden project and peeped a couple of them ripening up. We have both larger heirloom type tomatoes and smaller tomatoes.

Summer babies
A simple summer joy snap of a couple of our rooster babies Louis and Jiminy enjoying the sunshine and the grandkids picnic table.

Coming your way this week, it is all about simple home things, projects and some fun stuff happening with Christmas in July.
