Welcome to the Weekend View- this week is full of family and birthday fun, photo shoots and a peek at something coming soon.
Family Fun
We babysat some of our grand babies last week while their parents went out for a lunch date. Grand babies and summer seem to always involve popsicles, water fun and jumping on the trampoline. We are getting together to celebrate my oldest son’s birthday this weekend and I am betting those same things will be on repeat again.

Something Old
I have been working on a *little* project over here that involves all things festive. I’ll be sharing more soon but this snap just epitomizes the pretty little bits that have been happening.

Beautiful Hollyhocks
Our local farm stand had bunches of beautiful hollyhocks last week and my husband picked up a few of them. Beyond pretty! We have a scattering of them growing in our garden near the picket fence and they have been known to self seed and grow where they want to in our yard as well. They are a bit temperamental like hydrangeas- they were drooping within a day as you can see in the snap below. I cut them and seared them again and am hoping they are all perked up today. Would you like more info on Hollyhocks? Do you grow them?

Wandering
In this weeks wandering- It is all about fall inspiration.
Love this post about how to make your home smell like fall
Even though I am not enjoying bread at the moment – I think I may have to make this cinnamon roll bread one for family for a festive fall gathering.
Coming your way- pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins- a festive porch display that is perfect for all season long, beautiful autumn wreath ideas and more natural autumn decor with pumpkins. If you have any requests for decor ideas or anything else- would love to hear about it! Please drop me an email or leave a comment here.
Happy Saturday friends.
Would love more info on holly hocks for I tried them one year ….they were pretty while they lasted, but not for long. I was hoping they would reseed…did not happen. Any hints would be appreciated as they are a tall stately flower for the back of a bed.
I would love to hear more about hollyhocks. thank you. I would love simple Floral and fall decorations for the table. with dishes and napkins, please. I love The Faded muted colors.
What is searing regarding the hollyhocks?
Hollyhocks dont live in vases. You can only enjoy them in your garden.
