Welcome to the weekend view.
From roses to goat shenanigans to goats napping in the afternoon- it is all random all the time over here on the weekend.
So excited to see this beauty blooming away in the garden this week. This is an Earth Angel rose and is a favorite. I have a couple of them blooming away in the garden right now- we planted 4 more last fall and just ordered another 6 plants of them a few weeks ago. They flowers are so beautiful and romantic.
I mentioned last week that we planted a few Eden roses this year- and we also have the Cecile Brunners that bloom away and cover everything with those pretty little flowers.
I am working on some garden photography currently and this beautiful backdrop is beyond pretty.
My husband was working in the barn cleaning up and tinkering with a few things inside- and he heard a bit of a rustle. He looked at the chicken coop enclosure and saw that Clover had pushed through the wire trying to open the door and pulled it free from the frame- and had gotten her head through. I grabbed a quick photo as she seemed very proud of herself- though my husband was not impressed. We have now replaced the wire with another layer of stiff wire to keep her from trying to open the door. (the goats like to try to get in and steal the chickens food.)
More Goat Shenanigans
Of course after all that busy with the fence and Clover breaking in- Kev was worn out and needed a nap. Not quite sure how he doesn’t get a sore neck sleeping like this- but apparently he doesn’t. He rested for a bit before it was grooming & trimming time.
Thanks so much for all of the replies about the linens and what you would like to see. You all were so helpful and gave me a ton of ideas. If you would like to jump in and give some feedback also- the questionnaire will be open for another few days.
Inspire: Love how these metal columns were transformed in a snap– they look so good!
Make: We are soaking beans as we speak and are making a 3 bean salad today to add to salads, or enjoy as a side. This recipe with the added celery looks good.
Decorate: Love these 7 tips for mixing decorating styles
Coming your Way
I have had a couple of questions about those dresses and which ones I am finding that I love. Waiting on a couple to arrive yet- (side note- what is with shipping delays right now?!) but I will share them soon and let you know what I love (or don’t)
Breaking down the new cutting garden and potting shed into a few posts over the next couple of weeks. I will share how we built the shed from scratch, how the plants are layered in the garden and what else we have added since I had photographed it. I will also share an updated look at just how much the garden has grown in already and what we are working on out there next.
AND the cottage kitchen- we are oh so close to wrapping that up now that we are back to inside the house projects.
Stay tuned for these and much more coming your way. Happy weekend all.
