Changes in the bathroom

I might be just a little obsessed with
 gorgeous red floral toile
and old French furniture detailed in gilding

Red floral toile  and old pale yellow together
Yes, it might be love...

The other day when I share the blue plates on the wall in the sitting room
I mentioned that the little chest in the photo was from the bathroom
and that something else might be in it's place.

Something that's delightful

 With curvy bowed drawers

delicate hardware
a worn, chipped, painted faux marble top
and details galore

A sweet little shabby yellow chest.

I have been craving more of those warm French Country colors lately
and  knew that the old yellow paint and gilding would be perfect paired with
the red toile wallpaper, white beaded board and checked floor.

This piece was purchased at the same time as the commode in the bedroom
and one of my favorite things about it is the faux marbled top and shabby yellow paint.
It is pretty much a perfect fit in between the sinks

Did you see where we started with this bathroom?
It's not for the faint of heart- but a pretty big transformation.
yeah... a lot of yuck factor in this vandalized cottage when we bought it.

I am loving it in it's new home.
