Welcome the weekend view.
It is a dreaming of fresh cut lilacs in the sink kind of weekend over here. Talking about gardens progress, wisteria and a Mother’s Day Giveaway with Balsam Hill you won’t want to miss.
Ohhh that wisteria… I am not sure what we do wrong with ours but it doesn’t bloom like this.
We have had 3 wisteria planted by the greenhouse since we built it several years ago- and we literally get one of them that bloom- and it usually has just a couple of blooms. I have no idea what we aren’t doing that we should be- but I am dreaming of those wisteria blooming away like this.
I have seen old growth wisteria in our area- so I know that is does grow here
just not too well at our house apparently. If anyone knows the secret language to speak to wisteria to get them to bloom like crazy- please share.
We are planting about a dozen hellebores in the garden this week.
They are shade loving plants and we have two areas that get a nice amount of filtered light
and enough shade to keep them happy.
I will share more about them and where they land in the garden as we get them planted
and also what else we are putting in this year.
A new garden area that we are working on currently- excited to share more about it hopefully soon.
Mother’s Day Giveaway
That kitchen looks a little familiar to me… 🙂
I had so much fun taking the photos for this Balsam Hill Giveaway- and am excited to share it today.
Balsam Hill partnered with several companies to offer a giveaway full of goodness.
I can personally attest to the Tcho Chocolate- as we have nibbled on several of those and oh. my.
they are incredible. Who wouldn’t love to win all of these?
And today is the LAST DAY TO ENTER for a chance to win.
They are giving away a package that includes chocolates, wine, a basket full of breakfast goodies,
a throw and that beautiful spring wreath on the wall.
Sleepless in California
I would love to be catching up on sleep right about now- but all I seem to be doing is laying awake contemplating different things at 2:30 in the morning.
And it seems after that I tend to toss and turn and not sleep deeply.
I am sure the state of the world and the concerns with everything going on currently has a lot to do with it- along with the change in routine.
I think I may start putting work aside and trying to wind my mind down a bit earlier than
usual to see if that helps- I tend to work while listening to t.v. on the weekends.
Dreaming of Traveling
When all of this is behind us- like many of you- I can hardly wait to get out there and travel again.
I mean traveling from the sofa to the kitchen to the bedroom is nice on occasion
but I have a big case of wanderlust right now and am dreaming about the places to go when we can start going again. But for now- we are home and so how do we make our homes feel a bit more like we are on an adventure for an evening or a day?
I am putting together some inspirations for creating getaways and escapes right in your own backyard- and of course will be sharing more about those big travel plans I am dreaming about too.
See you soon for a little armchair ‘traveling’ & inspiration, a simple styling for the nightstand and attic and a few stories.
Have a lovely Sunday all.
