A basket of fresh flowers and layers of dried flowers- the potting shed in summer is such a happy place to play. Sharing a peek of the potting shed wearing a little bit of summer sunshine from my new book FRENCH COUNTRY COTTAGE SEASONS today.

The potting shed is a happy little spot in the garden- full of fresh flowers and dried flowers in layers above and below the potting table just waiting to be enjoyed in arrangements. Each season it looks a little different- and for summer, it is a mingle of fresh and dried for summer magic.
Dried Flowers
I love to tie flowers together to dry to be able to enjoy them again. I tucked a couple of fallen tree branches across the potting shed frame to hang the flowers in and love how the layers make it feel so cozy.
Below the potting table, bushels of dried lavender are ready for filling sachets and gifting and dried hydrangeas are ready for vases.

Even though the potting shed has few fresh picked flowers, the abundance of blooms already picked from the season makes it feel like a bit of summer sunshine.

You can see more of the potting shed dressed in seasonal decor in my new book FRENCH COUNTRY COTTAGE SEASONS coming September 29th and don’t forget to register for your free gifts after ordering.
