This past week has been a dream week.
On Tuesday, my book released and pre-ordered copies were shipped and I was sitting a bit on pins and needles incredibly nervous what you would think.
Would you like the book we created?
Would you be happy with the photos?
And what about the somewhat sentimental thoughts I shared and the story behind the story?
When you write a book and put it out there and you can’t go back and edit something because- it isn’t a blog post- it is in print folks… well, talk about feeling naked to the world.
But you know what?
Your comments. Your emails. Your messages on facebook and instagram are incredible and kind. I have said it before- but this community here in blogland is the most amazing community out there. It is full of lovely souls who are creative and wonderful and who support others enthusiastically.
I feel so blessed to be a part of it and I cannot thank you enough. And in the past few weeks – I have so enjoyed being able to give back and say thank you to YOU while celebrating the book release.
And… about those celebrations.

Courtney, I'am thrilled to have your new book. I can't put it down! Well, actually I loaned it to a friend overnight for her to take a look. I'm missing it, and need to get it back!!! It was released last Tuesday – so you should already have your copy if you pre-ordered from Amazon or Barnes and Noble, etc. Maybe check on the order and make sure there it is on track?
Thanks Courtney, Sadly I did check with Amazon and although I pre-ordered it on June 25th , they say they don't have any in stock:( I'm so disappointed, I thought the whole purpose of pre-ordering is so you are assured of it being in stock…

Did I ever mention that as soon as you posted just a glimpse of your island, you hadn't even done the reveal at the time if I remember correctly, I was immediately in search of. I think you just mentioned it was a draper's table. I spent hours searching and searching and I did find some lovely antiques. But, I finally found Bella Cottage and pinned away. Today, when I clicked on the web, I had 2 things in my cart! Ha ha! Not sure what I put in there, but I sure would love to put that table and a whole lot of other in a cart.
