Another thrift store stop and another treasure that had to come home with me. This time, it was actually two treasures side by side in the linen section and I almost fell over when I saw them. Today I am sharing more about that beautiful vintage floral bedding I gave you a peek at last week.

Beautiful Vintage Floral Bedding
Oh how much I love this bedding. I can’t even. I walked into the thrift store, wandered the plates and platters, baskets and knick knacks and then ventured into the linen and craft room when there they were. Hanging on old wooden hangers-not one but two darling vintage floral comforters.
I will admit, I did gasp a little as I grabbed them for a closer look. I am always collecting vintage floral fabrics (I just talked about my tips in this post last week) and vintage floral everything is a favorite. So these, stopped me in my tracks. And at just $18 – they were in the cart quicker than I could say SOLD.

Vintage Floral Beauty
I took a closer look at them and discovered they were a pattern that was prominent in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. They are double/full size comforters and made by Croscill- in what appears to be the English Garden pattern. A lovely pattern with bursts of bouquets full of cottage garden blooms and raspberry color ribbons.

Condition & A Closer Look
They are in really good vintage condition, I didn’t find any stains and didn’t notice any off smells- mostly just that usual perfume smell that thirst store fabrics often have. I washed them separately 2 x each and then took them up to the attic where they will be darling on the vintage green beds.
