When I think of Autumn decorating
I think of things like chunky pumpkins
mixed with gathered bits from nature.
mixed with gathered bits from nature.
and gathered acorns mixed with pale pink dried flowers
I tend to gravitate towards decorating with nature
and truth be told,
I am not really a huge fan of orange and rust reds for my Fall decorating.
So I look to the neutrals and softer colors for Autumn
along with a few touches of rustic
like an old well weathered lantern filled with candles for a little ambiance.
or a rusty iron chandelier draped in crystals.
Out on the patio
I added just a few simple touches of Autumn for now
especially since there are few pumpkins to be found
and it hasn’t really felt much like pumpkin pie and latte weather just yet.
That pretty fresh wreath from back in May
has dried perfectly and was a pretty change from the mirror that is usually here
I love the silvery green color against the rock
An olive bucket filled with hydrangeas placed on the table

and a pile of big pinecones in the fireplace until it’s warming by the fire weather
While I was busy photographing
I had a little helper who decided to keep me company-
our grand dog Sebastian
I hope you will stop by and visit each of the other blogs who are sharing a little bit of
their Autumn decor as part of our hop today as well

Courtney, I wish we had a nice outdoor area like you have. It just beckons me to come sit down and have a glass of wine or a hot cider.
As always the area in front of that gorgeous fireplace is impeccably decorated for any season or event…love that you use those beautiful neutrals…and love your "helper"

Sebastian is adorable!
I really love the way you approach your fall decor from your own unique perspective. I think anyone familiar with your blog would know this was your work. You have such a signature style and I just love your colorations. The fall bits are subtle, but still very much seasonal and just so lovely. I'm also always blown away by your photography. Would you mind sharing what kind of camera you're using in these? Thanks!
