Pretty little vintage French style everything talks to me.
Not really big news if you read my blog all the time- you already know that.
But sometimes, you happen upon something so absolutely perfect for your style
that you do a bit of a happy dance as you hit ‘order’
We recently updated a porch area of our house to include a new pair of old french doors-
which are incredible and are from the 1800’s wearing their original finish right now.
( I will share a closer look once I decide what finish I am going with on them)
While wrapping up design elements for this spot- I searched high and low for the perfect
lanterns to keep that vintage French style vibe of the rest of the house
And I bumped into these beauties.
Simple and sweet with traditional French carriage house style charm.
I fell in love with their perfect yet diminutive size- and their classic French architecture style.
And after I shared the autumn porch styling with you- there were so many questions on where to find the lanterns- so I thought I would share a closer look.
I absolutely fell in love the curved arms and slender style these lanterns have.
They were so perfectly ‘French carriage house’ style and the right size for a spot where
we don’t have too much space for a larger light but wanted all that charm.
They are super cute – and the door does open which adds another sweet little touch.
You can find these HERE if you are looking for similar.
I am back from High Point Market full of inspiration and
working away this week on several large photography projects for print and otherwise.
And am playing a bit of catch up on wrapping up autumn before zooming ahead
into Christmas decor.
Stay tuned for a Friday favorites coming your way- along with a table setting
and a post introducing a couple new BFF’s coming your way.
Happy Wednesday everyone.
They are indeed so charming and beautiful…Your porch is reminding me of a walk through the streets of Charleston…ah so quintessentially French. Glad you are back home safe and sound. Looking forward to your High Point adventures.
That outdoor lamp is beautiful and adds so much to your door area.
Beautiful, but a little over the top for me…almost $500 for one lantern. There are many out there with the same look/style for $175 or less, which would appeal to me. No, I'm not chinsey, I am frugal…sometimes wanna be, sometimes have to be. Overall your porch is gorgeous! Can't wait to see the French doors! Beverly Poag
