Good morning. Did you know the wildfires in California were so close to your beloved Calistoga getaway? The whole town was evacuated and closed off for several days. Sonoma/napa has lost thousands of homes and businesses. Lives were also lost. A piece of me is sad not one bhome blogger has mentioned this, that I'm aware of. The hurricanes in Florida and Texas were mentioned. Can you give a shoutout to California? It would just do my heart good to know someone out there cares that lifetimes of dreams are lost in an instant. We will rebuild. (Including my mother who lost her home) and we will love wine country visitors again!
Hi Cassandra,
Indeed I do know about the horrific wildfires in the Napa Valley and Calistoga- I am not far from there and we had fires near our home and terrible smoke here as well. Northern California has been greatly affected by the fires and I have been talking about them. I did several posts on social media asking for help for transporting horses and people and asking for supplies and prayers. I did not do a dedicated blog post about the fires- I felt social media was a better way to reach more people for help sooner than putting up a blog post.
Thank you! I don't know why I missed your posts!? But thank you for reaching out. And I'm so glad you weren't directly affected! But I understand the smoke was terrible and just watching was terrible. Thanks for putting the call out. Thanks for responding.
Thank you so much for hosting all the inspiration! Happy Weekend! ~ Kristin http://www.whitearrowshome.com
