This is such a fun one today friends. It happened a couple of weeks ago when I wandered into a thrift store and though it is a smaller treasure- it brought such a burst of spring sunshine. I fell instantly. Picked it up and carried it around with me and brought that vintage fabric beauty home.

We are talking about a lamp shade folks. And this one was talking to me more than usual and I had no idea why until I brought it home and then, it all made sense.

Vintage Lamp Shade Love
Can you even believe this cute little lamp shade? Rich colors, lovely flowers and delightful pleated details. Perfect for my cottage style and a beautiful English cottage layers of lovely look.
Something you may not know about me? Green is one of my favorite colors.
And vintage green- beyond. I adore those old vintage green shades. I grab this and that whenever I find vintage green anything and bring them home. Old garden tools in a green enamel? Coming home with me. Green wicker? Yes indeed. Green painted perfection on a piece of furniture? Just take a look at this desk. And the vintage green chair that goes with a vintage green table I had to bring home too. I love soft sage greens, John Deere greens, forest greens, pea greens, lime greens, rich evergreen greens. Basically, give me the vintage greens.

So when I saw the green stripes on the lamp shade, it was even more perfect. Though it was already coming home with me, I will be honest.

And there was something so familiar about it. When I got home and went up to the attic with it, I had a light bulb moment.
Vintage Floral Bedding

The lamp shade was already going in the attic- but I didn’t realize it was the same manufacturer as the bedding I had on the vintage (green) beds up there. I popped the shade on a vintage brass lamp and set it on the old vintage (green) wicker desk and fell even more in love with the mingle.

It is made by Croscill and the pattern (according to google image search) is Granada Green. While it doesn’t appear it is the exact same pattern as the vintage Croscill bedding- the colors are a perfect match and the mingle makes me happy. If I remember correct, it was around $6.

Love it or Leave it?
So is it a love it or leave it for you? Would you have brought this beauty home?
Happy Friday friends.
Very Ralph Lauren-esque. 💕
I would have left it. Reason I had a Croscill pattern in a bedroom but sold all of it in the 80’s. Looks really good for age.
LOL! You are too funny….”Green everything”! Of course you love green…you have a green thumb, girlfriend! Proven by your gardens! I would have definitely loved this lampshade…I love anything floral…cabbage roses, roses, lilacs, peonies, flowers, flowers, flowers! Keep up the good thrifting adventures…we love to see your treasures, and chime in on if we love them as well! Blessings, Ally
Luv it! Your home is divine!
😂when we bought our old cottage, the FURNITURE came with it. The sofa was green and WHITE check and the pillows were of the lampshade material! Moving on…your bedding is the same as a set we had in our last home, only with blues, not greens. We are of like minds when decorating! Great find!
Love it, love it, love it!
It’s so charming, Courtney! Love it!
I owned the bed set, the draperies, lamps, pillows, back in the 80’s.
loved it!
