Happy weekend everyone.
A week full of inspiration over here.
Starting with florals, Shabby Chic dreaming and more.
This week might involve a few fun things as well.
It is a short and sweet weekend view today.
I am in the middle of wrapping up last minute details for a project and my head is in the project.
But here is a bit of what has been going on behind the scenes this week.
Lilacs
I am obsessed with fresh lilacs.
And I have a bucket of them in the house.
From their amazing scent to their charming little buds. What is not to love?
Place a big bouquet in the living room or dining room- or a dainty one on the nightstand for an intoxicating scent.
Pretty sure we are going to plant several more trees this year- we have a few on the property- but they only put out a couple of blooms. Not sure why.
If anyone has any lilac insider info- would love to hear it!
Cozy Linens
I bumped into several gorgeous patterns on cozy linens while shopping again. Faded florals, blush and blues, pretty little linen with the palest of pink. I fell in LOVE.
And I will admit, restraint from bringing them all home?
Well, it didn’t go well. Let’s just say the linens won.
So what do you do when you find linens you love in 3 patterns?
You try each one on the bed and blog about it and how linens can change the entire look of your room with just a quick switch.
I know. Original right? But it is the best I can do to justify them all coming home with me.
Stay tuned.
Thank you
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you for your kindness and your comments about my new floral collection with Balsam Hill.
Your kindness, your comments, your purchases and your support- absolutely humbling.
Thank you all so very much.
And that first blog post back.in.the.day.?
I had no idea the world and friendships it would bring along with it.
Once this latest project is wrapped, stay tuned for a simple gift to you- and a sneak peek of some of the images that didn’t make the cut in my book in the next few weeks or so.
Coming your way:
Spring decor ideas & the first of those refreshed bedroom looks
A table setting that is all about being personalized
and something fun.
Happy weekend everyone.

I love lilacs too. We just moved into a new home this past fall and in the next week or two we are going to start with some landscaping and lilacs are high on the list!

You may be trimming your Lilacs at the wrong time. Lilacs shrubs should be trimmed right after they bloom. If you trim them too late you will cut off next years blooms. The blooms you see are most likely inner branches that did not get trimmed the previous season. Maybe try not trimming them this year and see if you get more blooms next year. They also require a minimum of 6 hours of sunlight (full sun). Good Luck!

I love lilacs too. And I have few blooms on my plants too. Haven’t figured out what to do do to promote blooming. So I will be listening for any hints that are shared.

So beautiful Courtney! I have a love affair with lilacs as well! I have 2 trees and planning on planting one more this year. All I know, which isn't much???? Is that they need fertilized every year in the spring. I did plant a limelight and I'm excited for it to bloom!

Our house has 2 lilacs and they smell so wonderful when they are in bloom. It's been so dry this year that I worry about them.

Hi Courtney. I love all your flowers and the containers that you post. At the end of the lilacs post, you had a white container with pink ranunculus sitting on a wooden stool.I loved the whole image but was wondering if you could tell me more about the container. Thank you for any information you can provide. Yolanda.
