Simple charm is the theme of the week over here.
Not really a theme I guess it’s just more where my designs and thoughts are going lately.
One of the things I love about Spring and Summer
is taking it outdoors for get togethers.
For me- the first thing I think of when hosting a gathering is not planning the food.
It’s creating the ambiance.
I think of the dishes, the flatware, the flowers
and the music that I will choose for my playlist for the party.
THEN I think of the food.
😉
Flowers are of course top of the list.
For outdoor tables and a brunch like this inspiration table is for
I love gathered mason jars, old bottles and newly found clear bottles
marching down the table to be used as small vases
A variety of spring blooms- in blues, whites and pale pink
( Cut blue flowers are on sale this week at our Safeway~ $2 a bunch )
For the dishes~
Detailed but simple white dishes
and Spring patterned salad plates.
All courtesy of a recent styling job~ these are so beautiful.
Little cute centerpieces could not be easier to put together~ more on them coming your way

It all looks wonderful.
I am fortunate when we are planning a party or dinner with friends. My husband does all the food and does the play list. i just have to take care of the ambience. Together we get it done and neither of us is exhausted.
Hope your weather continues so you can enjoy outdoor dining.

Hi Sandy!!
The bee flatware is made by Wallace and you can find it at Mikasa.com ~ they have a 20% off coupon right now too. 🙂

I love it. The flatware is on my list. I am a collector (over 30 years) of Mikasa French Countryside. I will have to look for the Antique Countryside salad plates, since I mix and match different Mikasa patterns for my tables.

I adore the American Countryside pattern and the detailed Antique Countryside scenic salad dishes are so beautiful!!
