This little white cottage with
little lime green shutters and an old fashioned porch
had me at hello.
The warm glow from the lights welcomed us in
and the warm cozy fire waiting inside said ‘Relax and stay awhile’
A couple of days to get away and relax a bit was on the agenda this week
and staying in one of my favorite little spots in the wine country?
That is always a good idea.
And for Friday Favorites- I am taking you on a little tour of a favorite
little b&b at the top of the wine country~
Cottage Grove Inn.
My husband first brought me to the Cottage Grove Inn several years ago
for a staycation getaway in the wine country.
And pulling into the driveway with all those charming little white cottages
lined up- I was instantly smitten.
It is a b&b we get away to several times a year- and that we always enjoy staying at.
The wine country is a beautiful little spot here in California.
Mountains, rolling vineyards and gorgeous meadows- and of course those majestic wineries.
There is something about the Napa Valley that is magical- and the property at Cottage Grove is quite enchanted all by itself.
Calistoga is at the top of the wine country- which means you drive through all that gorgeousness
and arrive in a charming little town at the very top- and Cottage Grove Inn is tucked right there among the beauty.
From birdhouses in front of the cottage to welcome feathered friends
to several fountains adding relaxing ambiance in private courtyards.
It feels as if you stepped into a charming little town
that is sprinkled with magic.
Each of the cottages are private and individual with their own porches and garden areas
and no two are exactly alike.
Our cottage had a charming garden area
with chairs to sit and enjoy coffee or wine.
This week has been a stormy one out here in California- with just one calm evening when we arrived
so we were mostly indoors or on the covered porch this time.
But with a fireplace and two comfy chairs to relax in-
cozying up indoors while listening to the rain fall outside
was perfection.
Love the toile in this room…
and I love that Cottage Grove Inn is fur friend friendly
which meant that Sweet Pea could join us for a getaway.
And I can’t forget to mention the extra deep jacuzzi tub in each room.
I arrived with a crink in my neck that wouldn’t quit
and soaked with the lavender bath salts each night
and it definitely helped relax it away.
And the wine and cheese brought to the room each night didn’t hurt either.
😉
From breakfast by the fire
to breakfast in bed
staying here is an absolute joy.
Of course, you know how much I love staying at the Cottage Grove Inn
by now… and it is always my top spot in Calistoga.
It is perfect for a romantic getaway and also
for simply taking a bit of time to do some relaxing with your friends
or sweetheart.
I can hardly wait for our next trip.
And if you are thinking of planning a little getaway for Valentine’s Day or
any other day in Calistoga-
Cottage Grove has a champagne & truffle romance package
currently that is amazing – I highly recommend it!
You can find out more and book a stay here at
and tell them I said hello!
🙂
Happy Friday Favorites everyone!
I partnered with Cottage Grove Inn to share my experience staying there with you
but all opinions are my own.

You sold me when your little Sweet Pea can be a part of your beautiful and cozy getaway:). Alot of rain this year in northern California, making up from the past drought years, almost to much.
Take care, Kathleen in Az

I know- such a great thing that you can bring your fur friends along with you! And yes, the rain here has been crazy this year.

It sounds like the perfect getaway, Courtney. Given how much your photos share the romantic ambiance of the B&B and the cottages, the owners should hire you to help them revamp their website. It fails to capture what you did. Cheers, Ardith
