So many of you have emailed or asked about what these little delicate flowers are
that were in my posts last week.
They are called Wax Flowers
You can find them in shades of pink
delicate purples
&
simple whites
I found these bouquets of them at Safeway where the florists use them as fillers for bouquets
but I love them in a bouquet just by themselves
Well..
and maybe with a few white pumpkins.

How do you get them?
I found these at Safeway grocery store- you could try there or your local florist should be able to get them for you if they don't stock them.

Those flowers look charming!
They are really pretty flowers and you photographed them so beautifully.
These pretty little flowers are native to my home state of Western Australia. They are called 'Geraldton Wax' after the town where they proliferate and because of the waxy texture of the petals. They grow in huge bushes down the middle and sides of freeways and roads here in the capital city of Perth – I'm afraid we take them for granted as they are so adundant but your photos helped me to see their beauty with new eyes. Thank you.

Those sweet flowers are just adorable, Courtney! I remember using them when I worked in a floral shop one year. They even feel waxy, don't they? 🙂 They are just a perfect combination with white pumpkins. 🙂

Yes, they are an Australian Wild Flower called Geraldton Wax. They come from Western Australia. I remember my Mother having a few plants in her garden in Sydney. They are a pretty and delicate flower.
