Welcome to the weekend view. This week is all about grand dog watching, shopping vintage, flower arranging and a twinkling tree photoshoot.
Shopping Vintage
This week was a big vintage shopping kind of week over here. I scored some vintage garden pottery on marketplace and also had coffee with my friend Sandy who owns an antique store. We sat on a vintage Chesterfield sofa in the middle of her store before hours and caught up about this and that and everything. I think it was the first time we have gotten together since before the pandemic- but she is one of those kindred spirit friends that always feels like we are in sync and it was just yesterday that we caught up even though it has been several years.
Of course, while we were at the shop- I had to shop some vintage and brought home a couple things I couldn’t resist. I will share all the vintage treasures in a post later this week.
Grand dog watching
My oldest son took his family to the beach last week for a much needed vacation- and we watched his dogs while they were out of town. Millie and Brady have been here many times so they are pretty comfy snuggled up on the sofa or in the bed with us. And Millie was overseeing a twinkling tree photoshoot last week from her favorite perch on the sofa.
Flower Arranging
I am working on a special project with flowers right now-sharing a little behind the scenes as I was getting started on this arrangement. The funniest thing about this photo is what you don’t see- a twinkling tree at the end of the table and boxes of vintage ornaments and pretty packages off to the side.
Handsome fellows
We had a couple handsome fellows visiting the other day. These two bucks are part of the deer family staying by the pear tree right now and they popped out to say hello while my husband was watering.
Wandering
This weeks wandering took me to a couple fun posts from my friends.
Ready for fall decor? My friend KariAnne shared 21 budget decorating ideas.
My friend Leslie shared that she has written a book and I am so excited for her! It is available for preorder now- you can read more about it and order your copy HERE (affiliate)
Happy weekend all.
