Welcome to the weekend view. This week it is all about gardening and slowing down and catching up.
Slow living
Slow living over here indeed. We have been catching up on sleep and trying to adjust back to California time after 2.5 weeks on European time. And by that I mean the actual time with the time change and the overall time with the change of pace.

There is something about being in Europe that just feels different and I think it has to do with the slower pace in general there. It allows you more time to notice and soak in all the things when you aren’t busy running around like wild. We fully adjusted and embraced those changes there and I will admit, the transition has been a bit of a bear this time. Sometimes, it is literally a day or 2 and you are back in the groove- this time, the whole week we have been off on the time and schedules.
Side note: Yes, I enjoyed cafe And a bites of croissant even while following the keto diet in Europe. It has been over 2 months since this food plan started- I will share an update on how the vegetarian keto diet plan my son made for me has been working.
Garden in Bloom
I will do a blog post next week sharing all the beauty that is blooming right now in the garden. It is absolutely insane how much the plants grew in while we were traveling. We decided that my daughter must be whispering sweet nothings to them while watering and encouring them to grow and reach for the stars. She definitely has a green thumb and did a great job taking care of our chicken and goat babies and garden babies. She is hired!

Foxgloves
Since they are literally 6′ tall, we have a few that have toppled over. So we spent a little time standing up some of them and clipping some of them yesterday. I adore foxgloves as you probably already know so while I hated to cut the bent ones, to have a few to mix in with some peonies and roses for arrangements in the house is a treat for sure.

Birthday Girl
Sweet Juliette is 3 years old! Not sure how she is already so big- time has flown by! It seems like she was just a wee baby just the other day! We celebrated the birthday girl and had so much fun with all the grand babies at her party.

Weekend Shopping
We did some thrifting this week with my daughter and her fiancé. It was his birthday week and he requested thrift shopping- who are we to say no? haha. I snagged some treasures – my favorite is probably an old antique oil painting that I saw and instantly fell in love with. It is super moody and has so many beautiful details. I will share the treasures that came home with us next week.
I am also shopping some summer sales to get ready for summer entertaining. Here are a few of my favorites this weekend in case you are looking as well. I have 2 of these bamboo chairs and am looking at adding a couple more along with some new cushions. *affiliate links
Coming your Way
Next week, it is all about fun outdoor patio and entertaining. We are setting up a new area this weekend that I am excited to share soon and working on updating and refreshing a couple other outdoor spaces before summer guests start coming for a visit. I will share some moods and ideas and what we are up to. Another installment in the travel series- after we drove through Umbria and Tuscany, we took the road less traveled and found ourselves on the Italian coast. More on that and much more soon.
Happy Saturday everyone.

I can’t believe she is 3 yrs old time is flying. I appreciate the continued vacay pictures. Have a restful weekend.
