Welcome to the weekend view. This week has been full of sunshine and chilly nights, simplicity and a starry night concert in Lake Tahoe.

Weekend Lainey Wilson Concert

If you saw my stories on instagram- you know we were heading up to Tahoe for a concert on the weekend.

Appreciated all your feedback on which jeans and hat to pair with my rhinestone boots and faux fur jacket. (pardon the old streaky ghosted mirror reflection)

And the concert was AMAZING. Seriously, if you love country music and you love Lainey Wilson- you need to go to one of her concerts. She was incredible-we absolutely enjoyed all her energy and the country music magic she creates.

Autumn in the air

We are soaking up warm sunshine filled days in California this weekend- but there is a definite chill in the air at night. It is snuggly season- which means brining out my cozy autumn/winter robe for the evenings. We usually sit outside and watch t.v. or chat in the evenings but the past week we have been staying inside. There has been a mountain lion wandering through our yard several times in the evenings and early mornings- as late as 5:45 am we have seen it walk past the front door.

Unfortunately, it killed a deer and came back and killed an opossum feeding on the deer on the road right next to us. My husband and son in law buried them both and we have been watching our security cameras for signs of it coming back. We do keep our chickens and goats locked in the barn at night but we don’t want any predators near them either way. You can see it in this screenshot below as it walks right past the front door.

Thrift fun

We have some fun thrift store finds to share this next week. I am a tad obsessed with some of the oddest things sometimes- but you know, the oddities are what keeps thrifting interesting. We even thrifted in Tahoe before heading to the lake and enjoying our lunch on the beach. Tahoe is beautiful anytime of the year but September is definitely a sweet spot.
