Happy Sunday and June 1st friend. This week, the weekend view has been a bit of this and that as always. From road trips & exploring to family fun at an arcade and some thrifting inspiration in between
Weekend View Family Fun Day

We get together with our big kids and grand babies every week for family day and this week, we mixed it up a bit by meeting at an arcade. The babies had so much fun ‘playing’ all the games and our boys had a fun trying to win the stuffed animal prizes for everyone. The arcade area also had a big indoor playground where the kids could escape the triple digit heat and have fun playing. It was a fun change from the usual family day at one of the houses and everyone was pretty tuckered out by the time we went home.

On the Road Again
We have been doing some exploring locally recently and visiting some areas we haven’t been to in years. We hit the road yesterday and took off into the countryside to explore a couple of small town areas. The road was full of pretty meadow views and mountains covered in trees galore- it was beautiful for sure and we enjoyed the dirt roads and small town stops.

Thrifting
One of the spots we stopped was at a thrift store in a town where there was maybe 3 shops- a gas station, mini market and thrift shop. It happened to be opened when we pulled into the parking lot to turn around and so, we figured why not peek inside. We had just about 15 minutes before it closed so we shopped quickly but we managed to find a few things. One of them was an old Red Cliff Ironstone tureen – such a cutie and it was marked at just $20- and then 1/2 price so just $10 since everything was 1/2 price that day. A score for sure.
