Hot August days and warm nights
are on repeat over here.
It is hard to believe it is almost that time of year where we are grabbing pumpkins and sprinkling a bit of autumn around the house.
But I am enjoying summer yet.. and this week, the weekend view is all about summer fun.
Farmers Market
One of the best perks with having a home in the country is shopping the local farmers market. We stopped by one the apple orchard last week and picked up the most glorious fresh peaches & beets. The apples that we were looking for were not ready yet… these are called Arkansas Black Apples-
but I am thinking there will be an apple picking day coming up soon.
One of the things I like about buying local is that you can buy organic right from the source and you are supporting the local farmers.
Summer styling
I worked on a simple bedroom change this week for the HomeGoods blog. It is all about a quick change with a couple of things. Like a fresh quilt or maybe a new French style chair.
I will be sharing more here soon- but I wanted to let you know that I found the most delicious linen quilts at Home Goods- you know the ones- that are stonewashed linen and soft as can be with gorgeous stitching that are usually around $600-700?
Under $100 at HomeGoods. Seriously.
Galvanized beauty
I also recently picked up several galvanized containers to use as vases. These are fluted and so cute and I have several ideas of where you will be seeing them pop up soon.
Currently- they are marching down the mantel.
Signed Copies of my Book
A quick note that signed copies of my book are now available in the French Country Cottage Market.
I also have several types of book bags/totes available that were ordered for events and signings- and shipping is FREE in the U.S. You can find all the products and order here.
Lamps Plus Giveaway
Just a couple more days to enter the Lamps Plus Giveaway.
A $1000 shopping spree to Lamps Plus to purchase whatever you would like. Lighting, furniture, decorative accessories- you name it.
Coming your way-
details on the recent post about the teepee- and how I made that dried flower garland.
A peek at a recent French find from HomeGoods- that is crazy good. And a sneak peek at one of the rooms in the book and the styling that didn’t make the cut.
And a book celebration post.
Happy weekend everyone.

I absolutely love HomeGoods. It never ceases to amaze me that you can get beautiful quality linens, dishes, and everything under the sun for such a great price. My daughter and her besties were able to decorate their apartment with one trip!
As always, I love your floral arrangements. I have some rustic containers…thanks for the inspo!

I am fortunate to live in an area that the Farmers' Markets are plentiful. Love how fruit and veggies are truly a work of art from Mother Nature. Love the totes and both the front and back covers of the book are truly beautiful……images that perfectly show your beautiful personality and style.

The cabbage rose floral scheme is beautiful for a late summer tote. It reminds us that nature's presence is always in our lives in an aesthetically pleasing way. I await your book with great anticipation.

Good morning, we now have a wonderful HOME GOODS close to us. I am like a kid in a candy shop, want to load everything in my basket to take home and enjoy. A simple change here and there adds a little sparkle to a room.
Your book is fan-tab-ulous! When I am not busy, I grab a cup of coffee/tea and just relax with book in hand. Have a great Monday! Jody
