Holiday Garden Party
Today, it is all about celebrating and ambiance and we are back in the garden for a holiday in July inspired gathering full of beautiful twinkling trees decorated with fresh flowers.
Garden Party Table
A table set for a gathering in the garden is always an inspired thing. But add some twinkling trees for ambiance and it takes it to a whole other level.
I love the blue stripe tablecloth for bringing a coastal summer feeling. Layers of lovely place settings that are simple and sweet. The flower arrangements are faux- aren’t they beautiful? I love how their soft colors mingle perfectly with the flowers in the garden.
We added a couple simple twinkling trees with no decoration, a couple small trees with roses and the piece de resistance- a fresh flower filled tree that steals the scene.

This tree doesn’t have the traditional ornaments – it is decorated with fresh flowers and layers of little details.
Tips for Decorating a Tree with Fresh Flowers
We used several white flowers, berries and lots of pretty little globe lights to really light the tree up and make it cozy. I am a tad obsessed with fresh flower trees. A couple of tips:
- Start with tucking greenery like eucalyptus or fresh picked greens to fill in-between the branches
2. Add flowers starting with the largest. In this tree, the hydrangeas were first and then we added roses, Larkspur and Baby’s Breath.
3. Use florist vials filled with water on each flower stem to keep them hydrated.

It IS stunning!! One year, on our 6ft tree, we put rose buds, crystals & baby’s breath…they (roses) opened on Chridtmas morning…I’ll never forget it…franki

very very lovely!!! I love balsam hill’s faux decor because they are beautiful and very natural looking. But for me nothing beats using the real thing when decorating. I love how you use both and make it all come together!
