You know, I will admit that I am addicted to shopping marketplace and thrift stores. It is almost like I can’t stop myself from snagging something that is a good deal. Even if I am not sure where I can tuck it in the house. Or even if I necessarily need it for a photo shoot at the moment. I do usually know I can do something with it and likely will need it for a photo shoot soon. And it helps that we now have a warehouse space where I can store extras if needed. So, I bring things home with me often.

A little ‘settee’
This little cutie…well, I sat on it for a minute after finding it to be honest. I knew I didn’t need another sofa. But then I rationalized, it wasn’t a ‘sofa’ it was a ‘loveseat’- and a small one at that. More like a ‘settee’ so that is a different story, right?

So I contemplated again… I already knew I loved the green floral chintz fabric- no question there.
And the ruffle skirt? Well, it was pretty much a done deal.

I messaged the seller and asked if it was available. Was it from a smoke free home, etc. Because for $60- there was no way it wasn’t coming home with me. Even just for the inspired photo shoot I already dreamed up for it.

Vintage Floral Chintz
Voila. Here it is in all its green floral ruffly chintz glory. And I am OBSESSED with the ruffle.

My daughter and I hauled it up to the back 40 by the sweet peas and did a little impromptu photo shoot with me and sweet little Louis, one of our roosters. Side note: Isn’t my daughter great with taking photos and videos? She does such an amazing job!

A Little whimsy

A vintage floral chintz sofa, a sweet chicken and a little whimsy with sweet peas in bloom- all a beautiful thing on their own and together, even more lovely.
Here a little bts video
Just a little appreciation post of finding joy in the beauty that is all around us.
Stay tuned for what might be the craziest thing I have brought home with me from marketplace coming next week.
Happy Thursday.
