This week, the sun was shining and the days grew warm
and we welcomed a sprinkle of that spring California weather that
we have been waiting for.
We have had so much rain this year- and it has made everything incredibly lush and beautiful
but we have definitely missed those warm sunshine days recently.
And warmer weather calls for evenings by the fire outdoors
and table settings under the stars
and falling asleep to the sound of the birds singing
while enjoying a lazy afternoon nap.
And yes, that has already happened right here in this charming little spot
and it has only been up for a week.
When I saw this bamboo daybed…
I immediately envisioned a romantic inspired getaway spot.
A place to soak up a little warmth and sunshine
and catch up on a little bit of reading while sipping tea…
or maybe a little bit of sleep.
😉
Though with bamboo- you might think more tropical…
I thought soft and romantic.
Blush, gray, ticking stripes and florals and checks.
I piled it high with pillows in soft colors and prints
and added a chunky throw for wrapping up in when the sun sets.
Though the daybed could be an entire spot all by itself-
I also loved the idea of creating a spot where conversations could happen.
And these two bamboo chairs were a perfect pairing
to create a charming little seating area.
I love how simple and vintage inspired they are.
And the white cushions means you can go bold and colorful or quiet in your look
and it will all work.
And can we talk about these pretty blooms for a minute?
They are called pon pon ranunculus – a special variety from Italian Ranunculus
and they are ruffly little treasures.
This little spot to getaway for a bit is already a favorite place to retreat to for a
little bit of R&R right at home.
What do you think of our little romantic inspired spot to getaway right at home?
And you won’t believe how inexpensive it was to create this look- though they are sturdy and look pricey- these pieces are surprisingly affordable.

Simply gorgeous! I need a retreat like this, once all the garden cleanup and weeding is completed. My dogs would certainly claim this for their own.
A most charming and enchanting space indeed!!!…I can actually hear the birds chirping and the rustling of the leaves in the breeze. It is as if you were at a 5 star getaway. Love this furniture!…so beautiful!
