Sometimes a flower filled fireplace is just what is needed to boost your mood and create the perfect amount of magic for a special styling. Today is all about creating cozy fireside florals for a special occasion table.

This flower filled setting started with a load of fresh wedding flowers that were being sold after a wedding. I mingled several of the arrangements, removed some flowers that were wilting already and added other blooms to fill them in. I combined several large arrangements into one and several smaller arrangements into long beautiful mantel stylings. As I loaded up flowers into the back of my husbands truck, I felt that spark of inspiration and magic coming together as I was dreaming up stylings and photos. Flowers have always been something that has filled me up with joy, whether in my garden or in my home. Such is why I have surrounded myself with their beauty in so many of my photos. They just create magic. So it was fitting that a truck bed full of beautiful leftover flowers would be exactly what I needed to find some of my mojo again.
Wedding Flowers Galore
I opened marketplace and saw the listing for all those leftover wedding flowers and knew they would be perfect for so many stylings. We ran over to buy them for a song compared to ordering from the flower market and I was in love instantly.
Over a week of them blooming beautifully at our home, I styled and photographed them in several settings and this cozy fireside table for two was one of them.

How To Create a Cozy Spot for Romance and Magic
I started with the flowers of course- layered several smaller arrangements together across the mantel top. I filled in the arrangements with roses and Larkspur and extra greens as needed to create a lush look. On each side, large arrangements on the floor were perfect- again roses and Larkspur were added to bring in more height and oomph. I also set another large arrangement on a table behind the floor flowers for a continuous look of a mantel in bloom.

A simple little pie crust table was a perfect size for two. A vintage crocheted cloth with mingled vintage place setting details and a small arrangement that echoed the larger was all that was needed. Of course, that cozy glow from the fire beckons sitting and enjoying a little candlelight moment. I photographed this for an upcoming project but these outtakes were perfect for sharing here. Thinking a setting like this one would be perfect for a surprise engagement or proposal, no? I love it and will admit that I left the flowers in place to enjoy for several days before moving them to another styling.
What do you think of this look? You can of course, create something similar with faux flowers and garlands in your preferred palette as well- just play with the flower placements until you are happy with them and enjoy.
Happy Friday friends.Â
