Ambiance is one of my favorite things when it comes to entertaining.
Whether it is a dinner party for 2 or 10, a fireside evening with conversation by the fire pit, a simple picnic and even a stroll through the gardens in the evening becomes enchanting when there is a sprinkle of ambiance.
Today, I am joining several friends for one of my favorite seasonal posts- all about Styled and Set entertaining.
Thank you Lory for hosting- and stay tuned for the next stop on the list today for even more inspiration.
I am sharing a few of my favorite tips for inspired ambiance for summer entertaining.
From tables to bonfires to garden parties- every setting can become a bit more magical with a little sprinkle of ambiance.
And.. ambiance is pretty much my favorite thing when hosting any kind of get together. It might be on the agenda before the food planning.
And some of my favorite ways to add that ambiance- are also so easy to do.
#1. Candles
Of course candles are a big one.
Whether you use real or faux -that flickering light sets the stage for a wonderful evening gathered around a table or fire. Favorite tip- use them in abundance for extra magic-Safety first and always of course- there are several very realistic options like these favorites- and you can also find large packs of small candles like these candles . Faux is the best choice if you are not going to be right with the candles the whole time.
#2. Twinkle Lights
Whether using strands above the table or on the table- twinkle lights are another great way to add a little extra magic.
I love to use these Edison style lights above tables, in the garden and nearly anywhere to add that charm. These are also LED so they last a long time -which means you can enjoy them again and again for years. You can read more in my post about using string lights Here
#3. Twinkle on the table
But, twinkle lights aren’t just for above the table-
in this setting I used the cloches filled with fairy twinkle lights
in copper pans for an added bit of sparkle.
#4. Lanterns
Of course- lanterns are always charming, lighting paths, by the greenhouse…
and on the table… and yes, that is a Christmas tree. This is a post from several years ago-
you can see more here
Adding a little extra ambiance to your tables and settings is so simple and such a perfect way to create a warm and charming atmosphere for your guests this summer.
