Happy October friends. Can you believe it is already all things cozy season? To kick off what I consider the month of autumn officially being here – I am sharing a few tips for a gathering filled with festive beauty. And a mingle of the seasons. Because over here- all things autumn (and summer and spring and winter) mingle with all things Christmas all the time.

Mingle of the Seasons

A mix and mingle of the seasons is always a beautiful way to enjoy the magic that each season brings. I love the colorful leaves, cozy ambiance, misty mornings and crisp fresh air that autumn brings. And with a little bit of twinkle light ambiance added- you bring so much more magic too and have the best mingle of the seasons. For a gathering- that mingle is perfection for me. Here are a couple tips to easily bring all that ambiance to your harvest gathering ( and more)
Seasons Gathering Mingle
- The Backdrop
Start with the backdrop- where will your gathering be? Inside or outside? In a formal area or in a natural area? The backdrop is the first place where the ambiance starts. Whether it is with twinkle lights outdoors or chandelier lights indoors. Maybe there are lamps on the sideboard inside or lanterns on wine barrels outdoors. Real or faux candles marching down the table centerpiece & a garland or a fresh arrangement for example. Just add in whatever magic makes the most sense for your setting.

- The Place Settings
Another mix and mingle- don’t be afraid to use differnet plates on the table- or different glasses, napkins and flatware combinations. The interest in in the mix and mingle so go with what you love.

- The Centerpiece
A garland works beautifully as a centerpiece for a table- but of course, you can layer some pumpkins, bring in seasonal color florals and candles and call it good too. Again, it is all about putting your own personal style in place for the gathering- so there are no rules and it is all about what speaks to you. Her is an alternative garland for this table- you can see how just changing one thing changes the look.

- The Tree
To add that extra magic and ambiance- bring out a Christmas tree a little early. I tucked dried florals and garlands into this one to create an autumnal look- but you can go full on Christmas mode and decorate with ornaments too.

- All the Extras
Add in even more magic with a favorite playlist on repeat and extra glowing lights anywhere you want to put them.

Happy October 1st everyone.
love love love the use of lace in both tablecloth and napkins. I think it elevates the look and gives such a vintage endearing vibe.
