Spring or Easter Table Setting
When it comes to setting a pretty table in spring- I am sure you can bet what my favorite way to dress the table is… flowers of course. But it isn’t Just about flowers. It is about the layers on the table. The cloth, the place settings, the ambiance and background and the centerpiece. Today is about a simple and easy way to dress up your table for a spring soiree or Easter setting.
The Stories
Behind the blog, it has been a Murphy’s Law kind of week so I am a tad behind on getting this post up. It has been full of helping one of our sons move house and several mishaps that went along with that. Of course the move was scheduled to happen the week after my husband injured his shoulder. Then my oldest son pulled a muscle in his back 2 days before the moving truck rental. The night before the big move, my second son text and said he rolled his ankle and had an ice pack on it. (turned out he was joking) I told them they were like the three stooges haha and this move was going to be interesting.
Since the guys were working with less than their usual gusto- we put grandpa on kid duty and he was in charge of watching the 3 J’s. Both of my sons were able to move things even with injuries thankfully and with my daughter and I helping to move boxes and furniture while grandpa wrangled the kiddos, we managed to get it done. Thankfully, my son’s back is healing and my husband’s shoulder is on the mend and hopefully everyone will be getting some better sleep soon. After all that chaos, I am catching up on work on the blog and behind the scenes on some projects. And it is a perfect day to delve into something pretty like a spring table.
This table is full of fun bits and a little bit of whimsy. I am all about the flowers. The pretty. The magic on repeat and this one has it all. So if you are looking for some ideas for a spring soiree table or an Easter table- this one is for you.
The Flowers

Grocery store flowers to the rescue again. Sometimes the roses at the grocery store are just like the expensive garden roses or specialty roses I get at the flower market and that is always fabulous. For this table, we have garden roses and a couple peonies from the garden along with some baby’s breath.
The key to this centerpiece is the layers of bouquets. None are huge and over the top- just several dainty ones marching down the table is perfect.

The Place Settings
Mix and mingle is the key for this one. I love a table that is set with collected plates and platters and pitchers that all mingle together but don’t necessarily ‘go’ together as in a set.

The key is to choose similar patterns or details- in this case, vintage florals. Then bring in your stemware and mismatched flatware which is tied with a ribbon. I used vintage lace napkins for another layer of sweetness that also echoed the vintage table cloth.

The Ambiance
Always a favorite thing- the setting that sets the stage for the story and the ambiance that brings the magic. This table is set under the oak. With string lights overhead, candles on the table and lanterns in the background- it is full of pretty moody magic.

The key here is to layer all the lovely moody magic- and don’t be afraid to add more candles, lights or background ambiance for even more.

All in all- a lovely little spring table that would also be perfect for Easter tables or a ladies night with friends. Stay tuned for an Easter centerpiece floral diy coming your way soon too.
