Welcome to the weekend view for the weekend after Thanksgiving. I hope everyone had a beautiful day celebrating. We are off on the day for celebrating and have family coming over today for a traditional Thanksgiving on the weekend dinner. Since my husband worked in law enforcement for years and that means working holidays- we are used to juggling days and celebrating when it fits the schedule for everyone. And this year- it has been several days of celebrations in different areas for the family.
Enzo
This little cutie has almost doubled in size in the past weeks and he is now a chubby cheeked 11lb -er. We get together for dinner each week with the kids and grand babies and I spend most of the time playing with Juliette and holding Enzo. Can you blame me? And just look at that little grin!
Juliette
We babysat Juliette recently while her momma was out and daddy was doing a podcast. We kept her busy and took her out in the wagon for a walk and she did just fine the first time without momma and daddy in the house. Incidentally, the wagon ride went on and on with lots of ‘fast’ – so grandpa got a workout at the same time on their hilly street. haha.
She is going to be a big sister in just a couple of months- beyond excited for another grand baby joining the family.
Christmas trees
I am a tad behind on setting up all of the Christmas trees this year- my shoulder flared up after we got back from our trip to Europe and it really slowed me down. That movement of pushing luggage or pushing the mop or basically holding my arm out in front or above does me in. My husband has been helping me decorate the trees and hang garlands- and while we were up in the mountains a couple of weeks ago- he tackled a wee tree all on his own. I will do a blog post about it- he was quite proud lol.
Stay tuned for the living room tree here on the blog tomorrow-and more over the next few weeks. And of course, a whole lot more holiday inspiration is on the agenda too.
Lake Living
We hooked up the Avion and took her to the lake recently for a little bit of daytime camping fun. My husband rebuilt a few more things -so I will have to share an update on that. And we are planning on wrapping up everything inside in the next couple of months and taking her back out to the lake for an overnight stay.

We aren’t re-doing the Avion so much as restoring it. Trying to put it back together to look like it was in 1960. 🙂
