It is day number 3 in our holiday table inspiration- and this is the last share before Thanksgiving- but is such an easy thing to do for all your holiday tables. This is inspired by a rustic fresh garland that just arrived & is a 5 minute simple centerpiece idea- short and sweet post today with all the busy for Thanksgiving tomorrow.
Rustic Holiday Table
This table started with a fresh garland inspiration. This garland is a beautiful mixed foliage with red berries and juniper seeds added in. I absolutely love fresh garlands that offer something unique. And this one definitely has a classic holiday charm and look- and you will see it somewhere else this season as well.
Something I am always asked about are my fresh custom garlands for the holidays. I like to have I usually order from the SF Flower Mart- but this year I found another source for those beautiful unique garlands and wreaths- my Balsam Hill family is now offering fresh foliage as well.
On the Table
Using a garland on the table is one of the easiest ways to create a beautiful centerpiece in a snap. I love the little pop this one brings with the berries and the the mixed foliage is absolutely beautiful. Something I like to do with fresh garland is to tuck a little something in- like flowers or fruit and nuts to add an even more custom look. I used brown pears for this- and you can simply lay them along the garland – no need to wire in. Tuck in a few taper candles and your centerpiece is ready.
Place settings
I know it all looks familiar for day 3- I mentioned I was keeping some of the place setting details the same for each table (along with that tree in the background) to show how easily the table changes with just a couple tweaks. I left the tabletop bare for this table to play up the ‘rustic’ factor even more. To be honest- I usually prefer the patina of wood as the place setting backdrop as opposed to the fabric of a cloth. Personal choice though- you absolutely could layer a cloth as well.
The place settings have those beautiful green goblets and blush dishes again- I might possibly be obsessed with the combination. I also love the beautiful green linens and vintage silver here. When you find something that you love like place setting elements and you keep going back to them again and again – it is a good thing.
Mix and Mingle
This table is a mix and mingle of fresh elements with dried elements in the backdrop. It is okay to mix what you love- and I think the vibrant greens on the table with the faded foliage on the tree is a fun mingle. This table is so simple and easy to put together- and it literally took me about 5 minutes which is perfect for the busy holiday season when you want to quickly dress the table up a bit.
