Welcome to the weekend view. This, that & everything from the week that as rolled into one post. This week has been on the quiet side so it is a short edition today all about rainy days, pumpkins and more.
Chickens and heirloom pumpkins
The chickens love to peck at pumpkins and so this time of year is a treat for them. While out by our front porch, George Henry decided to start enjoying this heirloom pumpkin. Kevin had started it – he nibbled on it when he was out in the yard and once there is a break through the outer pumpkin shell, the chickens go to town and enjoy it.

Sitting by the fire tying velvet ribbons on ornaments with Curly sitting next to me in the house.
Curly loves to cozy up to the warm fire and nestle into his blanket for a bit.
BooK Signing fun
Thanks to everyone who came out and said hello and bought books last weekend. We had a ton of fun at the book signing and it was so nice to meet you all! Several from my family also came by- this is a snap I took with one of my brothers – Evan.
Christmas Fun
It is always an honor to be featured in a magazine and when your work lands on the cover, a pinch me moment. I worked with Better Homes & Garden on a feature in their most recent Christmas issue- and was so honored they chose a photo from my Christmas book for their cover. So much beautiful inspiration throughout the issue- you can grab your copy where ever magazines are sold.
