Welcome to the weekend view. This week has been all about family and birthdays, work projects and concert fun.

Happy Birthday Jio!

We celebrated this little man turning 1 this week- he is the chubbiest little cutie patootie who is always smiling and laughing.

Jackson Dean

We trekked up the mountain and over to Minden, Nevada for a concert on Friday night to see Jackson Dean. We saw him playing last year when he was opening for Lainey Wilson and he was back playing a small venue in Minden. It was such a fun evening and the band was amazing- he is country with an edge and we love his music. Highly recommend if you love a little rockabilly as well!

Work & Play

It has been a week of work and play I suppose- between the birthday party, a street fair in a favorite gold rush town and the concert – along with a few work projects that I wrapped up. Sundays are usually a quiet day here. We don’t do too much busy stuff and honestly, my Sunday agenda usually looks like gardening, clipping blooms and sitting with my chicken babies and enjoying all the chicken baby cuddles. If you haven’t sat down and held a chicken for a bit before- I highly recommend it. Our roosters love to be held as much as I love holding them and it truly brings me such a joy. This wee rooster is Curly- he is all of about the size of a handful -maybe 1/2 a pound if that. He is a wooly frizzled silkie and is also a part-time house rooster. He comes to the door in the morning to come in and enjoy breakfast and sit with us for a bit.
