Welcome to the weekend view. This week looks a bit like misty fog, peaceful sea views and dahlias.

Seattle Views
We have been up in Seattle this week. It was a beautiful week though rainy and misty most of the time- the sun did pop out a couple times which was so nice. I was in jeans and a sweater most of the time and even wore my winter coat for the first time this season while there- the breeze and rainy weather was chilly (and my frizzy hair was back as was 4 cups of pour over coffee each morning to get my tired self going) Pardon the messy hotel room and mirror.

We stayed in the city at a hotel with a kitchen so we could cook our meals. It was close to the waterfront- just about a mile away so on one of our early morning walks, we wandered to area to explore. The water was quite peaceful and beautiful as the ferris wheel went around and the flag waved.

Pikes Place Market

After exploring the waterfront area a bit, we wandered into Pikes Place Market and of course, I took all the photos of all the incredible dahlias. I was amazed at how beautiful their dahlias are and how great their prices were for fresh flowers. In California, we have decent prices on flowers since many are grown here- but the dahlias prices were incredible in Seattle.

Dahlias on Repeat

Need I say more? Look at these stunning blooms!

French Country Cottage In Bloom Book

That about wraps up the Weekend View for this week- but stay tuned for a couple of tips for visiting the Seattle area and Washington state beauty if you plan to go.
Happy Saturday friends.

I grew up in Seattle and love it there. I now live on Whidbey Island north of Seattle. If you come again visit the island it has some lovely places to see.
I used to live in Oak Harbor on Whidbey island and loved going to Pike’s for the Dahlias – the most beautiful!!! I was just sitting on the sofa looking at your book again today. This brought back great memories.
It’s “quite a place.” Pike’s Market was an adventure!!

I was in Seattle late September on a vacation from PA. We spent a day in the city at the waterfront and Pike’s Market. The DAHLIAS were beautiful. Rows and rows of dahlias. Lots of gals were carrying A BEAUTIFUL bouquet. I was not able to get purchase the flowers because of travel but I enjoyed watching others picking the perfect one. A young man ask my daughter for help when picking out a bunch for his girlfriend TO SURPRISE her. We enjoyed our trip to Washington and Oregon.
