beautiful warm days that invite you to step outside and enjoy the fresh air?
You know it’s January.
You know it should be freezing cold outside and last week it was freezing cold
but this week… it’s warmed up and it’s calling to you to come outside and enjoy.
You know it should be freezing cold outside and last week it was freezing cold

I headed outside to enjoy the warmth and play with an outdoor table setting
I wanted a touch of whimsy, a little bit rustic and simple elegance
I started with a simple drape of burlap fabric over the table.
No sewing required for this one- just a large piece that drapes all the way to the floor.
(This is 60″wide burlap from Burlap Fabric.com)
I adore this flatware with it’s charming Peacocks and chunky details
and always love a stack of pretty white dishes edged in platinum
Against the burlap~
so perfect and a favorite juxtaposition of mine.
Vintage silver goblets and sugar containers with
mixed sizes of mercury glass candlesticks
&
a $5.00 special bouquet of
pale peachy pink, green and white roses on the table

So simple but charming
and perfect for an outdoor setting.
The place settings & flatware are Mikasa & were part of a recent styling job
This pattern is called Adelaide Platinum and is absolutely gorgeous~
you will be seeing more of them on here for sure

Roses in January–wow, what fun! I love the silverware in particular, and the whole tablescape is gorgeous.
I absolutely LOVE your tablescape Courtney! Everything is so beautiful and fresh looking. I am really into silver, crystal and glass right now and I love your silver candlesticks. They are gorgeous! I wish that I could be outdoors doing the same thing, but it was 11 degrees here yesterday in Utah! NOT going to happen! LOL! Thanks for sharing! xo
I love the prettiness of you tables. In a time when we need calmness, you do it up well.
Oh how I love seeing mercury glass with pink roses, Courtney! And your tablescapes always make me swoon. 🙂 So very beautiful!!!! You are so lucky to be able to get out and enjoy some nice weather out there. It was 7 (yes, 7!) degrees here today and snowing. Ugh…….! I hid in my warm basement painting furniture for my booth. 🙂

Happy Monday Courtney!!!
Happiness is having you to show us beauty at it's best. This setting is like getting a breath of fresh(Spring) air.
This is elegance at it's best!!
Have a great week!!
Pam
Just love the color palette!- what a breath of fresh air in dreary January!
It's 5 degrees here and we are freezing our buns off. Your beautiful table helps me to think of spring. (Oh I look so forward to it. I'm tired of the snow and extreme cold). N.
Outdoor for a Winter table! Gosh, it must be good to be a Californian girl, sometimes. Even the cats won't go outside this week and I live in an area known for its mild temperatures!!! Beautiful pictures. I just adore the colour of the roses.
What a breath of fresh air seeing that beautiful table. The roses and silver and burlap are so perfect together… I feel like i just had a treat looking at so much pretty in one place… makes me want to go home and dress my table up the exact same way!
Cindy
So beautiful, and so refreshing for the middle of winter. I love it!
Kimberlee
Purdy!!! And So fun too. It reminds me of playing tea party as a little girl but those are definitely big girl props. LOVE!!!! Leslie
So pretty Courtney! I love the roses in the silver goblets – a perfect touch.
That's wonderful, Courtney. I was admiring the idea of burlap as a tablecloth, than i thought about roses, and how you set everything perfectly… And then… Cake… A line from a movie: ''Cake is my world''! 🙂 Great post!
table decorated with roses, is beautiful!
Definitely an outdoor day here today. It was warm and perfect. I'm not ready to let go of the cooler days of winter though, so I'm hoping winter will return. This is a gorgeous table with the pretty roses and all the silver details. Love the flatware and the rustic burlap setting.
I always love visiting your blog and fell in love with the peacock flatware. Well, did I luck out! I was visiting the Mikasa site today and guess what their Deal of the Day was? The lovely peacock flatware at – are you ready for this? A set of 8-5 piece place settings for $149.00!!! It is regularly $270. I ordered two sets and can't wait until they are delivered. I must say, it was your beautiful photos that made the sale. Kudos to your photography. 🙂
