After Christmas decorations are packed away, the house can feel a bit bare. While I can appreciate the less busy look and feeling, I also miss the magic and cozy that Christmas decor brings. So in January, I focus on bringing in some of the cozy magic with beautiful florals and candles for cozy winter style. Today I am sharing one of those looks and how I created it.

Cozy winter style – Florals and candles

3 Things for a cozy winter home – On the Table
Layers of lovely on the table is always something I love any time of the year. And in winter, it is all about adding in the cozy magic to bring that warmth. I decided to create a simple centerpiece for a fresh winter table in the house- and I used some of my favorite year round florals to put these 2 arrangements together.
Fun fact- you have seen these same florals many times over the past few years- I use them in table stylings, mantel stylings, general floral pops and also, the garlands were tucked into a Christmas tree for a full lush look. So when the tree came down, the garlands were available to use again.

That is one of the nice things about a good quality faux floral- they have cost upfront but will last a long time and can be used again and again all year long. This collection is the Marseille Meadow- which is one of the floral looks I designed for Balsam Hill.
Tip: You can create your own style centerpiece with these florals in several ways. I went big with combining 2 pieces- but you could easily add the candles to a garland, a wreath on a round table or even just the arrangement by itself – like these looks below.

The combination I put together is just to show how versatile they could be in creating any kind of custom look.

These arrangements are bold on size but simple-a 6′ garland, potted arrangement and faux taper candles.
I wrapped the garland around the arrangement to create a larger and more full arrangement and fluffed everything to fill the containers in. You can also place the arrangement inside a small wreath for a similar look- the 22″ wreath would be perfect for this. But again, as mentioned- you can place a garland down the center of the table, place a wreath in the center of a round table or just place the arrangement on the table and you can achieve the look.

Then I tucked a few realistic faux taper candles into it to create a moody ambiance filled centerpiece. The candles could also be tucked into the top of the potted arrangement for more height if you like- or as shown here- they are tucked into the garland.
Cozy winter style -on the Mantel
On the mantel, a floral and foliage wreath echoes the look and of course all those cozy candles and the fireplace glow creates a whole lot of winter cozy magic.

I added a simple blue velvet ribbon to the center and called it good. The chamber candles are also realistic faux candles.
