Beautiful Autumn Avion Pumpkin Patch

Because sometimes whimsical stylings are just perfect, we dressed up our old Avion trailer for autumn for my book SEASONS and had so much fun doing it. Sharing a closer look at the setting today.

First up, I wanted to say thank you so much for all your kind, thoughtful comments and messages about my dad. I appreciate you and your kindness and you being here friends. Thank you again.

Autumn Avion Trailer Pumpkin Patch

While we were working on stylings for my book SEASONS, we were coming up with ideas for sharing different seasonal inspirations and looks and thought about a pumpkin patch. We have done a pumpkin patch by the greenhouse before, but wanted to do something different and decided why not create a magic filled pumpkin patch by the Avion.

We started with hay bales and potted mums. And then added alllll the pumpkins. There were several dozen big old pumpkins that we brought home that year- and we kept adding them until it felt full enough of pumpkin whimsy.

A few lanterns with candles and string lights overhead and it was a magic filled pumpkin patch view.

This would be such a fun idea for hosting a neighborhood gathering, setting up for Trick or Treats or simply enjoying a fun autumn moment with family.

Tips for Creating a Pumpkin Patch

If you would like to create a version of a pumpkin patch for a gathering or just some fun with family and photos this year-here are a couple tips:

1. Choose all different size pumpkins to vary them as you stack. I love heirloom pumpkins but of course, traditional oranges and mini’s are great to include too.

2. Grab hay bales, crates or wheelbarrows for stacking them.

3. Pick up some apple baskets at a craft store for placing potted mums in for a festive touch.

4. Don’t forget the ambiance with large porch lanterns, string lights and flickering faux lanterns to hang on doorknobs or tree branches.

5. Bring out some tartan plaid throws for wrapping up in while enjoying hot cocoa by a fire pit.

You can see more autumn ideas in my new book FRENCH COUNTRY COTTAGE SEASONS – currently priced at $32 and on a buy 1 get 1 half off special.

And if you have bought a copy of SEASONS and enjoy it, I would so appreciate you leaving a review. Those good reviews and 5 stars encourage others to order and give the book a try and are so helpful in the success of a book.

And just a quick update on bookplates, apologies on the delay, the rest of the bookplates are shipping out to those who preordered and registered this week and should arrive in the next week or so. Thank you again for your support of my new book.
